My Reading Bucket List

1. April Shadows- V.C. Andrews
-Other than being written by my favorite author, this book is based in the 1960s and has a  theme of family problems and deseption. April is a girl who has an abusive father and is shunned for she has an athletic sister named Brenda who is always making April look like nothing compared to herself.

2. The Luxe Series- Anna Godbersen
-This book is quite the combination, it looks just like the book series for me. Its filled with romance, secrets, and of course betrayal. all that on top of that its set in one of my favorite time periods which is the 1800s and the early 1900s.

3. Peter and The Shadow Thieves- Dave Barry & Ridley Pearson
-The first book, which was Peter and The Starcatchers was a very good read and i have never got around to reading the second one in the series. It is inspired by none other than the original Peter Pan novel and just adds to the quality of the story. All Peter Pan books have been very good reads.

4. The Casteel Series- V.C. Andrews
-The series of a girl that goes from living in rags, to being with family that is quite wealthy. Along the way she learns of family secrets that have been kept under wraps for many years. Its a story that would go into several genres including thriller.

5. The Looking Glass Wars- Frank Bedder
-This book is taken off of Alice In Wonderland, which is a fantastic book. Alyss with her bodyguard must defeat her muderous aunt Redd, who killed her parents and took over the throne of Wonderland, to become the rightful and needing queen of Wonderland.

6. Wicked- Gregory Macquire
-This is a view on the series The Wizard Of Oz, although its about the life and times of Elphaba, the evil wicked witch of the witch, and how she came to be evil. It tells of her childhood and her college years. We even see into her love life. This seems as though it will be a compelling book.

7. The Phantom Tollbooth- Norton Juster
-In the style of Alice In Wonderland and The WIzard Of Oz this story tell of a young boy named Milo. Milo recieves a magic tollbooth and decides to drive his toy car through it, which then transports him to a magical kindom. In the Kingdom Of Wisdom he encounters many odd creatures and goes on aa journey to save the princess.

8. Coraline- Neil Gaiman
-I have seen the movie and feel that the book would be even better. For it is on a little girl named Coraline tha finds a tiny door in her house that transports her to a alternate world that starts out fun and dream fulfilling, but ends up being dangerous and life threatining.

9. Howls Moving Castle- Diana Wynne Jones
-This a movie that i saw first, but heard was loosely based on the book. I thought that i need to read this book. It is based on a young woman named Sofie who is transformed into a old woman by an evil witch. She sets out to find Howl a magician who live in a castle that is moved and operated by a loving fire demon named Calcifer. Howl will help to cure Sofie, but she secretly loves him. Which i find as a nice plot twist.

10. The Kindom Keepers Series- Ridley Pearson
-This is a story set in the magic of Disney World and is based on what it would be like after hours. The evil queen Maleficent and her evil overtakers are trying to take over the park, but 5 teens are recruted and turned into holograms at night and try to stop the evil Overtakers and thier ruler.

To feel pity, or to not feel pity?

I feel the SS man does not deserve pity. At one point he says "The jews died quicklyand did not suffer as i do". Although they most likely did suffer, they knew that they would soon die, but just didnt know when. The jews had done nothing to anyone, but the SS soldier was guilty for killing many jews. He also states "Many young germans of my age die daily on the battlefields, they have fought against and fallen in the fight but i..i am left here with my guilt". He does not even mention that they are fighting defenseless people. He talks of all the germans dieing daily, but does not even care mention the helpless, harmless jews dieing daily.

Forgiveness?

Should a scientist that has developed a biological weapon that could kill thousands be forgiven? I think this person should not be forgiven because this person planned to do this and knew that it would hurt thousands. This can be supported by the atom bomb being built. The scientist who built it knew that when the bomb was dropped it would kill more than needed. The reason this person should not be forgiven is because it killed many innocent people who did nothing.

Main Street has many events take place on it. There is the christmas parade for example. When the parade takes place theres more people than i can hardly stand. People walk by on the sidewalk and accidently jostle you. The buttery smell of popcorn, cotton candy, and other tasty food waft down the street and seems to tickle your nose. The street is filled with people and the noise level is so loud you can barely hear yourself think. The stores are all closed and the windows are filled with twinkling christmas trees. The streets and lamp poles are covered in more twinkling lights than know to man. People all around are bundled up in huge fluffy warm coats. The adults and children all are drinking hot coco to try and get warm. Main Street is a huge part of the community, tons of events take place on main street.

I Am Poem

I am weird and predictable
I wonder what will happen next
I hear music
I see the days fly by
I want to do good
I am weird and predictable

I pretend to fly away
I feel insecure
I touch the clouds
I worry to much
I cry when sad
I am weird and predictable

I understand the world
I say that dreams do come true
I try my best in school
I hope for eternal happiness
I am weird and predictable
